WWE Superstar The Miz appears on UK’s Sky Sports NewsBy Tony Cottam| January 27, 2012 Wrestling News Former WWE Champion The Miz appeared on the UK’s Sky Sports News channel this afternoon to promote the upcoming Royal Rumble PPV. Miz was interviewed by presenters Jim White and Natalie Sawyer, who also asked questions sent in by fans. Miz claimed he was going to set two records on Sunday – for the longest time in a Royal Rumble and most eliminations, as he was going to throw all 29 other men out. He acknowledged he was entry #1 and explained the concept and then plugged the show on Sky Box Office, and also mentioned he was the man of 1,000 plugs by plugging the WWE’s upcoming O2 Arena shows in April He also said that John Laurinitis had personally asked him to do the media promotion, and he’d travelled from Phoenix to Chicago, flown to Abu Dhabi, then to London, then back to Chicago, and then had to get to St Louis for the PPV. Miz then claimed that he was a fan of London football team Chelsea. Miz then showed off his Christian Louboutin shoes, explained he came up with his catchphrase because he is awesome, and ran down R-Truth, saying he made him a main eventer and all Truth did was ride his coat-tails. They asked if he liked John Cena outside the ring, and he said no, as Cena is seen as the company guy, when it’s really The Miz who should be. He was asked what his dream match was, and he said he already had it by headlining WrestleMania against John Cena and The Rock getting involved in the match too… then said he’d headline WrestleMania again again this year after he won the Royal Rumble. He said the best part of the job was being recognised everywhere and getting “tons of free stuff” – he explained that he was recognised in Abu Dhabi, which is insane for guy bought up in Cleveland, Ohio. Presenter Jim White asked him if it was all fake, and just “horsing around” – Miz said he had no idea what White was saying because of his accent, but then said to treat the WWE as the best entertainment money can buy, and go along to the O2 Arena in April and enjoy the drama, and the characters and the entertainment. They aired a clip of Miz’s finishing move, the Skull Crushing Finale, to which Jim White replied it didn’t look that bad… and Miz threw off his microphone and jokingly attempted to perform his move on a very flustered White, while shouting “Don’t try this at home, kids!”
