WWE Spoilers: Five Legends Announced for 2012 Hall of FameBy Cassidy| January 10, 2012 Wrestling News As announced on last night’s RAW SuperShow, eleven-time World Champion “The Rated-R Superstar” Edge will be inducted into the 2012 WWE Hall of Fame. It was also announced on RAW that the original Four Horsemen (Arn Anderson, Tully Blanchard, Barry Windham, & James J. Dillon) will join the already inducted Horsemen, Ric Flair, in the 2012 Hall of Fame. Despite WWE claiming that Edge was the “first inductee”, WWE announced back in October that the masked Mexican legend, Mil Mascaras will be inducted into the Hall of Fame, as well. Since his WWE debut nearly 14 years ago on June 22, 1998, Edge is a four-time WWE Champion, seven-time World Heavyweight Champion, 2010 Royal Rumble Winner, 2001 King of the Ring, two-time and first Money-in-the-Bank winner (2005 & 2007), five-time Intercontinental Champion, one-time WCW United States Champion, twelve-time World Tag Team Champion (7x w/ Christian, 2x w/ Chris Benoit, 1x w/ Hulk Hogan, 1x w/ Randy Orton, & 1x w/ Chris Jericho), two-time WWE Tag Team Champion (1x w/ Rey Mysterio & 1x w/ Chris Jericho), 2008 Slammy Award Winner for Couple of the Year (w/ Vickie Guerrero), 2010 Slammy Award Winner for “Oh Snap” Meltdown of the Year, and was the fourteenth WWE Triple Crown Champion. After successfully defending the World Heavyweight Title against Alberto Del Rio at WrestleMania 27, Edge shocked the world on the April 11 edition of RAW by announcing that prior neck injuries forced him to retire from in-ring competition. When Edge is inducted on March 31 in Miami, he will be the youngest inductee in history at 38 years old. One of the most legendary groups in wrestling history will be immortalized as The Four Horsemen will be inducted into the 2012 Hall of Fame as “The Enforcer” Arn Anderson, Tully Blanchard, Barry Windham, and James J. Dillon will join 2008 Hall of Fame inductee “Nature Boy” Ric Flair in the Hall of Fame. Fourteen of the sixteen reigns Ric Flair had as World Champion were while he was a part of The Four Horsemen as “The Nature Boy” won the WCW World Heavyweight Title eight times and the NWA World Heavyweight Title six times. Arn Anderson twice held the WCW World Television Title, while Barry Windham held the title once. The original members also secured the NWA World Television, WCW United States, NWA United States, NWA National Heavyweight, WCW World Tag Team, & NWA World Tag Team Titles. The 2012 WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will emanate from the American Airlines Arena in Miami, FL on March 31 (the night before WrestleMania) and will air on the USA Network.
