WWE: SmackDown Superstar Injured at Live Event on FridayBy Cassidy| January 23, 2012 Wrestling News At a WWE Live Event on Friday in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, SmackDown Superstar Ted DiBiase suffered an apparent hand/arm injury in a match against Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes. The severity of the injury is unknown, but DiBiase was pulled from Saturday’s Live Event in Fargo, ND and was replaced by Alex Riley in the scheduled match against Rhodes. Before the match, Rhodes cut a heel promo claiming that he “broke” DiBiase’s hand. On Saturday morning, DiBiase posted the following on Twitter, “Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds”, which is a verse from the bible.
