WWE Spoilers: Big Week for First RAW and SmackDown of 2012By Cassidy| January 1, 2012 Wrestling News In a year where WWE will debut the WWE Network, WWE is looking to kick off 2012 with a bang as both RAW and SmackDown have a packed card as both shows will be main evented by a World Title match. The first RAW of 2012 will come to you, live, on January 2 from the FedExForum in Memphis, TN. After weeks of cryptic and haunting vignettes, “the second day of 2012” will see the surprise return of an unknown Superstar. Speculation has been running rampant since the beginning of the vignettes as to who will be returning as The Undertaker, Chris Jericho, Kharma, and Brodus Clay have all been discussed as being behind the vignettes. RAW will also see the WWE Championship defended as CM Punk defends the WWE Title against “The Show-Off” Dolph Ziggler. The first SmackDown of 2012 will come to you on January 6 from the Verizon Arena in North Little Rock, AR. SmackDown will feature two title matches as, in a rematch from WWE TLC, Cody Rhodes will defend the Intercontinental Title against six-time World Champion and SmackDown commentator Booker T. Then, in the main event, Daniel Bryan will make his first defense of the World Heavyweight Championship against “The World’s Largest Athlete” Big Show.
