WWE: Update on Randy Orton’s InjuryBy Cassidy| December 29, 2011 Wrestling News WWE.com has posted an update on the injury suffered by SmackDown Superstar Randy Orton at Tuesday’s SmackDown tapings. During his Falls Count Anywhere Match against Wade Barrett, “The Viper” suffered a “herniated disc on the L4-L5 level on the left side, and that’s resulting in pain and weakness down his leg”, says WWE physician Dr. Michael Sampson, who also said that Orton will need “time off for rehab, anti-inflammatory medications, and physical therapy. Despite how this sounds, Orton is only expected to miss a few weeks of in-ring competition. As mentioned in an earlier article, Orton is being pulled from this upcoming week’s Live Events, being replaced by Sheamus in his scheduled Street Fights against Wade Barrett.
