WWE: Update on Alberto Del Rio’s Injury

WWE.com has confirmed that, during last week’s 6-Man Tag main event on the RAW SuperShow, former WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio suffered a severe groin injury and the injury will require surgery. WWE’s Dr. Chris Amann stated that the surgery is “minimally invasive” and will only put Del Rio on the shelf for four to six weeks.

With this injury, Del Rio may make it back it time for the Royal Rumble on January 29, but considering that the big event is less than five weeks away, it does not seem likely.
