WWE Monday Night RAW SuperShow October 24, 2011 ResultsBy Cassidy| October 24, 2011 WWE Raw Cena insures his team will “bring it” at Survivor Series; Kevin Nash obliterates “The Game”. Just one night after one of the most bizarre pay-per-views in WWE history, Vengeance, the 961st edition of WWE Monday Night RAW was a RAW SuperShow and it came to you, live, from the Frank Erwin Center at the University of Texas at Austin. After going to hell and back in a Last Man Standing Match against Alberto Del Rio for the WWE Championship, only for The Miz & R-Truth to assault him, allowing Del Rio the opportunity he needed to retain the WWE Title, John Cena would no doubt be looking for answers on the RAW SuperShow. Another man who will have a lot of questions on his mind after Vengeance is WWE COO Triple H, who was assaulted and laid out with a vicious Jackknife Powerbomb by the supposedly fired Kevin Nash moments after Nash cost “The Game” and CM Punk their match against The Miz & R-Truth in what was just the latest in a series of attacks by the seven-footer, so the question is, how does Nash keep getting access to the arena, not to mention being allowed to assault contracted talent at any given time? Match Results Randy Orton & Sheamus def. Christian & Cody Rhodes by Sheamus pinning Cody Rhodes following the Celtic Cross. Non-Title: Dolph Ziggler (with Jack Swagger) def. Santino Marella by pin following the Zig Zag. Alicia Fox def. Natalya by roll-up. Wade Barrett def. John Morrison by pin following Wasteland. 2-on-1 Handicap Match: John Cena def. The Awesome Truth (The Miz & R-Truth) by DQ after R-Truth hits John Cena with a water bottle. Detailed Results One night after being assaulted and laid out with a vicious Jackknife Powerbomb by the fired Kevin Nash at Vengeance, the RAW SuperShow kicks off with “The Game” Triple H. Triple H states that, for his entire career, he has lived by the creed that “you can either make friends or you can make money” and he considers himself fortunate because he has had both friends and money, friends he thought were “true friends”. Triple H continues that Shawn Michaels, Sean Waltman, and Kevin Nash are a few of those, but “position and power” became more important and they were there for a reason. Triple H states that what was important to Kevin Nash changed when he returned to the WWE and, at Vengeance, Nash tried to break his neck, adding that he is not worried about his physical well-being before saying that Nash broke his “heart”. Triple H continues that he wants to take that out on Nash before saying that he knows that Nash is in the arena, calling his former friend to the ring, promising to kick Nash’s ass! However, Triple H does not get Kevin Nash, he gets the Interim RAW General Manager John Laurinaitis, who is repeatedly told to “shut up” by Triple H. “The Game” then tells the GM that Laurinaitis is the Executive Vice President of Talent Relations and the Interim GM, but he is still the COO, meaning that Laurinaitis still works for him. Triple H then tells Laurinaitis to track Kevin Nash down and sign him to a WWE contract at any cost as, if Laurinaitis does not, then he will go to Nash’s house and kick his ass there, getting himself arrested and “embarrassing” the WWE. Triple H then storms out of the ring as Laurinaitis shouts after Triple H, calling him “unreasonable” and urging the COO to come back so they can work it out. Triple H then turns around on the stage to tell the Interim GM to “shut up” when Kevin Nash appears behind Triple H, blasting “The Game” with a sledgehammer shot from behind, drilling the weapon into the spine of Triple H! Laurinaitis then shouts at Nash, telling him he is not supposed to be there and telling the assailant to leave as security escorts the sledgehammer-wielding Nash out of the arena. With Nash on his way out of the arena, referees and EMT’s tend to Triple H, helping “The Game” to the back, but in the back, Triple H tries to walk without assistance and ends up collapsing on the ground! What is the status of Triple H following this heinous attack by Kevin Nash? Backstage, paramedics are trying to load Triple H, who is strapped to a backboard on a stretcher, into a waiting ambulance when Kevin Nash re-appears, threatening the paramedics with a sledgehammer. The paramedics have no choice but to give in to Nash’s demands as they leave the area, allowing Nash to pick up the injured and unconscious Triple H. What Nash does next goes beyond descriptive words as Nash props the defenseless and helpless Triple H upright and, as security closes in to try and apprehend him, Nash delivers a sledgehammer shot directly to the skull of Triple H! As security backs Nash away from the scene, paramedics return to turn the face-down Triple H back over. Paramedics then load Triple H into the ambulance as John Laurinaitis repeatedly apologizes to the COO. After Kevin Nash annihilated his former friend, Triple H, and quite possibly put “The Game” out of the WWE forever, what action will be taken against Kevin Nash? Will we ever see Triple H again? After all four men faced off in singles matches at Vengeance, the opening match of the night saw “The Viper” Randy Orton team with “The Great White” Sheamus to face the team of Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes and “Mr. One More Match” Christian. In the end, it was Sheamus planting Cody Rhodes with the Celtic Cross en route to pinning the Intercontinental Champion to win the match for himself and Randy Orton. Backstage, John Cena confronts Interim RAW General Manager John Laurinaitis, demanding a match against The Miz & R-Truth, saying he is “fed up” with them. The GM responds by announcing a tag team match where Cena and a partner of Laurinaitis’ choosing will face Miz & Truth. Who will John Laurinaitis pick as John Cena’s partner? One night after successfully retaining the United States Title against Zack Ryder in his second match in a row at Vengeance, United States Champion Dolph Ziggler, with Vickie Guerrero and Jack Swagger in his corner, went one-on-one with Santino Marella in a non-title match. During the match, Jack Swagger distracts Santino Marella on the apron, allowing Dolph Ziggler to hit the Zig Zag on Santino en route to picking up the win. After the match, Dolph and Swagger would assault Santino as Swagger locks in the ankle lock on Santino. Luckily for Santino, the monstrous Mason Ryan rushes out, blasting Swagger with a big boot as Dolph Ziggler makes his escape. Backstage, Zack Ryder is parading around, telling The Bella Twins that he will be John Cena’s tag team partner to face The Miz & R-Truth! How will John Cena and Zack Ryder fare as a team against The Miz & R-Truth? After getting the crucial assist by The Miz, R-Truth, and his personal ring announcer, Ricardo Rodriguez, to retain the WWE Title in a Last Man Standing Match against John Cena at Vengeance, WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio appeared on RAW SuperShow to deliver his victory speech. Del Rio states that everyone thought John Cena was going to win at Vengeance, but he is the “last man standing” and is the WWE Champion. Del Rio continues that he proved, once and for all, that he is the “better man”, adding that he is going to “move on” past John Cena. The WWE Champion then states that there is no one better than him, so they better get used to seeing him as the champion. “The Voice of the Voiceless” CM Punk then interrupts and makes his way to the ring, telling Del Rio that he has defeated him before, including a victory four weeks ago. Punk then tells Del Rio that he never received his one-on-one rematch for the WWE Title before asking the WWE Champion if he is man enough to defend the title against him. Del Rio responds by saying that “losers” don’t deserve title shots, adding that Punk should talk to him when he gets a “victory” and Punk is at the “back of the line.” Punk then states that, maybe, he does not deserve a title shot and, maybe, he is a loser, and, maybe, if Del Rio will not give him a title shot, he will put Del Rio to sleep anyways. Interim RAW General Manager John Laurinaitis then comes out and states that he is picturing Alberto Del Rio defending the WWE Title match against CM Punk at Survivor Series. Punk then asks the GM what the “catch” is and Laurinaitis tells Punk to tell the GM that he “respects” him. Punk argues that, to get respect, you have to earn it before saying that with rings collapsing and Kevin Nash interfering in almost every match of his, RAW isn’t any better with Laurinaitis in charge. The GM then tells Punk to “stand up like a man” and tell him that he respects him. Punk responds by mocking the unique voice of Laurinaitis, saying “I respect you, Funkman.” The GM then tells Punk that he has one more chance to tell him that he respects him and Punk tells Laurinaitis that he “respects” Laurinaitis. Punk continues that he respects the GM for his “completely lost, deer-in-the-headlights look” on his face and he respects that Lautinaitis does not know where to hold the microphone when he speaks and he also respects that Laurinaitis used to compete in the ring with a mullet, but managed to climb his way up the WWE corporate ladder, showing off “new found levels of brown-nosery”. Punk continues that, above all, he respects how “somebody with so little has done so much”, shouting in the GM’s face that he “respects” Laurinaitis. The GM then states that he is going to take another week to decide if Punk is worthy of a WWE Title shot. Punk responds by saying he will give Laurinaitis something else to think about before attacking Alberto Del Rio and setting him up for the GTS. However, Ricardo Rodriguez jumps in, allowing the WWE Champion to escape while Punk hits the GTS on Rodriguez instead! Will John Laurinaitis grant CM Punk a WWE Title match at Survivor Series or not? With Divas Champion Beth Phoenix a guest on commentary, Natalya went one-on-one with Alicia Fox on the RAW SuperShow. In the end, it was Alicia Fox catching Natalya with a roll-up to pick up an upset victory. After the match, Natalya attacks Alicia Fox from behind as Beth Phoenix enters the ring, but Fox is narrowly able to escape the two powerhouse Divas. After defeating “Mr. Money-in-the-Bank” Daniel Bryan on SmackDown, Wade Barrett looked to keep his success rolling as Barrett went one-on-one with “The Prince of Parkour” John Morrison. In the end, it was Wade Barrett hitting Wasteland on John Morrison en route to picking up the win. After a pair of hellacious shots with a sledgehammer by Kevin Nash earlier in the night, it was reported during the RAW SuperShow that Triple H suffered a concussion and a neck injury, possibly a broken neck, due to the attack by Nash. RAW commentator Michael Cole stands up from his announce position during the show, saying that Hall of Famer Jim Ross has been spreading rumors and telling lies about beating Cole last week on Twitter and WWE.com. Cole continues that J.R. must have been doing some drinking because he sent out some embarrassing photos over Twitter. Cole then shows doctored photos of the Hall of Famer, depicting J.R. on an exercise bike trying to get some barbecued ribs and J.R. as an overweight cheerleader for the Oklahoma Sooners. Michael Cole then openly challenges J.R. to the “Michael Cole Challenge” on next week’s RAW SuperShow and, while refusing to indulge the rules of the Michael Cole Challenge, Cole states that, if J.R. wins next week, then the Hall of Famer can have his seat at ringside back because Cole will quit! Will Jim Ross accept Michael Cole’s challenge? What are the rules for the Michael Cole Challenge? Backstage, Zack Ryder is giving an interview about how excited he is to be teaming with John Cena in the main event when “The Long Island Iced Z” is blindsided by his and Cena’s opponents, The Miz & R-Truth, who pummel Ryder before sending him into the steel backdrop of the interview area! The Miz then delivers a vicious boot to the skull of Ryder before referees and security intervene. The Miz & R-Truth then make their way to the ring as The Miz states that, when Triple H fired them, he tried to stop their “revolution”, adding that Triple H got what he “deserved”. Miz continues that when they “rise up”, no one will be safe before R-Truth states that it is only the “beginning”, adding that “nothing” will save John Cena until Cena “gets got”! Moments after The Miz & R-Truth took out John Cena’s tag partner, Zack Ryder, Interim General Manager John Laurinaitis made the main event a 2-on-1 Handicap Match as John Cena would go it alone against The Awesome Truth, The Miz & R-Truth. When it looked like John Cena was closing in on a victory, lifting The Miz up for the Attitude Adjustment, R-Truth blasts Cena in the face with a water bottle. The Awesome Truth then assaults Cena before The Miz hits the Skull Crushing Finale on Cena and R-Truth follows with the Shut Up. Awesome Truth then grabs two steel chairs with the intent of injuring Cena further, but Interim RAW General Manager John Laurinaitis comes out, calling a stop the assault before having referees escort Awesome Truth to the back. However, the GM has second thoughts, having The Miz & R-Truth wait on the staging area as Laurinaitis announces that John Cena will face The Awesome Truth at Survivor Series, but this time, Cena gets to choose his own partner. Cena mulls over the decision, but states that he needs to have a partner who will “bring it” against The Miz & R-Truth, leading to Cena making the decision that none other than his WrestleMania XXVIII opponent, “The Great One” The Rock will be his tag team partner at Survivor Series! Given their history, how will The Rock and John Cena fare as tag team partners in Madison Square Garden at Survivor Series? What did you think of this week’s RAW SuperShow?
