Breaking WWE News: Santino Marella Involved in Car Accident!By Cassidy| September 3, 2011 Wrestling News WWE.com is reporting that former Intercontinental and WWE Tag Team Champion Santino Marella was involved in a car accident in Toronto, Ontario on Thursday, where the RAW Superstar’s car was hit by another vehicle, sending him into a light pole. Santino commented on the accident: “I had just left home and was going to get my hair cut before I began packing for WWE’s trip to Puerto Rico,” explained Marella. “[My barber] wasn’t around, so I just decided to go home. My car flipped sideways and the trunk hit a light pole, it completely crushed in. The airbags deployed, and all I could smell was gunpowder. There was broken glass everywhere, and I tried to open the passenger door, but it was stuck. Luckily, there was still power in the car. I opened the sunroof and crawled out.” Santino Marella reportedly suffered a separated shoulder in the accident and will not be at RAW this Monday night. The former Intercontinental Champion is not expected to miss more than a week on in-ring competition, but the severity of the injury is currently unknown.
