WWE: Rey Mysterio Injury and Surgery ConfirmedBy Cassidy| August 24, 2011 Wrestling News As reported last month, RAW Superstar and three-time World Champion Rey Mysterio re-injured his knee during a match with Alberto Del Rio at a live event in July. Rey has reportedly been trying to work through the injury since last month and, in the meantime, the WWE had kept Mysterio in tag matches to minimize his time having to compete. After initially being told he could simply rehab the injury, doctors have informed Rey that he will requite yet another surgery on his knee. Rey managed to tough through an Undisputed WWE Title match against Alberto Del Rio on last week’s RAW with Del Rio attacking Rey after the match to give a storyline reason for Rey’s absence. Rey will undergo surgery this Friday to repair the torn ACL in his knee and is expected to be out of action for at least six months. What are your thoughts on Rey Mysterio’s knee injury?
