WWE: Senior Referee Suspended for Wellness ViolationBy Cassidy| August 16, 2011 Wrestling News WWE.com has announced that Senior Referee Mike Chioda has been suspended for 30 days for his first violation of the WWE Wellness Policy. Chioda has been a WWE referee since 1989, competing in his first match in 2001 when he teamed with The Rock & Chris Jericho to face The Dudley Boyz & Nick Patrick (a fellow referee), a match that he actually won for his team. Chioda has refereed such matches as The Rock Vs. Hulk Hogan at WrestleMania X-8, Triple H Vs. Batista at WrestleMania 21, John Cena Vs. Triple H at WrestleMania 22, John Cena Vs. Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania 23, and Shawn Michaels Vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin at WrestleMania XIV. Chioda will be allowed to return to his refereeing duties after September 14.
