Breaking WWE News: Real Reason for Sin Cara’s Injury AngleBy Cassidy| July 22, 2011 Wrestling News While initial reports stated that SmackDown Superstar Sin Cara was written off of television in an injury angle (after he was powerbombed through a ladder by Sheamus at Money-in-the-Bank this past Sunday, WWE.com reported that Sin Cara suffered a fractured rib), the Wrestling-Online Newsletter has revealed that Sin Cara was actually suspended for 30 days due to a violation of the WWE Wellness Policy last month. When doing an interview with the Mexico-based newspaper, The Record, the wrestler formerly known worldwide as Mistico says that he does not know why he failed the latest WWE drug test. The website for The Record has since taken down the article, but Sin Cara was quoted as saying, “What happened is that I had a pain….I injected something into my body, that’s why I came out positive, but they don’t know what it is. They might be steroids, but most medical stuff has steroids.” PWInsider.com reported earlier this week that Sin Cara had told WWE officials that he had a prescription for the injections, but he never actually showed the prescription to anyone, which apparently left several people upset backstage. Given the time frame of his suspension, Sin Cara is not expected to be back in time for SummerSlam, meaning he will be missing out on one of the biggest paydays of the year. Since this is his first offense, 30 days is the punishment, but if Sin Cara fails a second time, he will be suspended again for 90 days and a third offense will result in Sin Cara getting released from his contract.
