Detailed Results One night after the entire landscape of the WWE was uprooted forever with the crowning of a new WWE Champion in CM Punk, who left the company with the most prestigious championship in WWE history in his possession, every Superstar and Diva was watching intently as RAW kicked off with WWE Chairman Mr. McMahon and the Executive Vice President of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis! The Chairman states that CM Punk “walked out” on each and every fan and each and every Superstar who has ever stepped foot in the ring. McMahon then calls Punk a “egotistical, selfish turd” before saying that “no one man” has been or ever will be “bigger than the WWE” because the WWE “cannot be stopped”. The Chairman then announces that an eight-man tournament will take place on RAW to crown a brand new WWE Champion! The Chairman then reveals the brackets for the first round matches of the tournament as “The Master of the 619” Rey Mysterio will face United States Champion Dolph Ziggler, R-Truth will face Jack Swagger, the RAW Money-in-the-Bank winner Alberto Del Rio will face Kofi Kingston, and former WWE Champion The Miz will face Alex Riley with the winner of the tournament being crowned the new WWE Champion! Mr. McMahon then turns his attention to the former WWE Champion, John Cena, as McMahon promises “severe consequences” for Cena losing the WWE Title to the departing CM Punk at Money-in-the-Bank! Who will be crowned the new WWE Champion via the eight-man tournament? What fate awaits the former WWE Champion, John Cena? The opening match of the night was a First Round Match in the WWE Championship Tournament as, just one night after competing in the grueling and hard-hitting RAW Money-in-the-Bank Ladder Match, former WWE Champion The Miz went one-on-one with rival Alex Riley in a match that can only end by pinfall or submission with the winner advancing in the tournament to crown a new WWE Champion. In the end, it was The Miz overcoming a knee injury suffered during the RAW Money-in-the-Bank Ladder Match to hit the Skull Crushing Finale on Alex Riley en route to picking up the win to advance to the Semi-Finals of the WWE Championship Tournament to face either Alberto Del Rio or Kofi Kingston. In the second First Round Match in the WWE Championship Tournament as, one night after competing in the RAW Money-in-the-Bank Ladder Match, R-Truth went one-on-one with “The All-American American” Jack Swagger with the winner, by pinfall or submission, advancing to the Semi-Finals of the WWE Championship Tournament. In the end, it was R-Truth countering the ankle lock of Jack Swagger into a roll-up that allowed R-Truth to advance to the Semi-Finals of the WWE Championship Tournament to face either Rey Mysterio or Dolph Ziggler. One night after surviving the Money-in-the-Bank Ladder Match to become the RAW Money-in-the-Bank winner, earning him a WWE Title shot at any time he wants in the coming year, “Mr. Money-in-the-Bank” Alberto Del Rio discusses his win on RAW. Del Rio reminds everyone that he is the winner of the RAW Money-in-the-Bank briefcase, earning him a shot at the WWE Title anytime he wants. Del Rio states that he tried to cash in his opportunity at Money-in-the-Bank, but the then WWE Champion “ran like a chicken”. Del Rio continues that it all happened because John Cena could not “do the job” before saying that he “hopes” that Cena gets “fired”! Del Rio then proclaims that it is his “destiny” to become the WWE Champion before Del Rio brings out his returning personal ring announcer, Ricardo Rodriguez, who announces Del Rio as the new WWE Champion! “Mr. Money-in-the-Bank” Alberto Del Rio was in action on RAW as Del Rio went one-on-one with fellow RAW Money-in-the-Bank Ladder Match competitor Kofi Kingston in a First Round Match. In the end, it was Kofi Kingston catching Alberto Del Rio in a roll-up to pick up an upset win over “Mr. Money-in-the-Bank” to advance to the Semi-Finals of the WWE Championship Tournament to face The Miz. In the final First Round Match of the WWE Championship Tournament, “The Master of the 619” Rey Mysterio, one night after competing in the RAW Money-in-the-Bank Ladder Match, went one-on-one with the United States Champion Dolph Ziggler, with Vickie Guerrero in his corner. In the end, it was Rey Mysterio hitting the 619 on Dolph Ziggler and following it up with a Splash on the United States Champion en route to picking up the win to advance to the Semi-Finals of the WWE Championship Tournament to face R-Truth. One night after successfully defending the Divas Title against Brie Bella at Money-in-the-Bank, Divas Champion Kelly Kelly teamed with Eve, Natalya, A.J., Kaitlyn, Gail Kim, & Beth Phoenix to face The Bella Twins, Rosa Mendes, Tamina, Alicia Fox, Melina, & Maryse in a 7-on-7 Divas Tag Match. The match did not take long to break down as, with twelve of the fourteen Divas battling on the outside, Beth Phoenix hoisted up Rosa Mendes, delivering the Glam Slam to Rosa en route to picking up the win for her team. Then it was time for the first Semi-Final Match of the WWE Championship Tournament as former WWE Champion The Miz went one-on-one with Kofi Kingston with the winner advancing to the Finals to face either R-Truth or Rey Mysterio. In the end, it was The Miz overcoming the pain caused by his injured knee to hit the Skull Crushing Finale on Kofi Kingston to advance to the Finals of the WWE Championship Tournament to face either R-Truth or Rey Mysterio with the winner being crowned the new WWE Champion. Then the other half of the Finals of the WWE Championship Tournament was set to be determined as R-Truth went one-on-one with “The Master of the 619” Rey Mysterio in the Semi-Finals with the winner advancing to face The Miz. At the end of hard-fought match, it was Rey Mysterio hitting the 619 on R-Truth and following it up with a Splash en route to pinning R-Truth to advance to the Finals of the WWE Championship Tournament to face The Miz with the winner being crowned the new WWE Champion. Then it was to determine a brand new WWE Champion as, after fighting some of the best Superstars RAW has to offer throughout the night, it came down to two men as former WWE Champion The Miz went one-on-one with “The Master of the 619” Rey Mysterio with the winner being crowned the new WWE Champion. However, with Rey Mysterio in the ring ready to go one-on-one with The Miz, WWE Chairman Mr. McMahon comes out and states that they are running low on time and he needs to do something that is “almost as important as the WWE Championship” before announcing that he will have to postpone the Finals of the WWE Championship Tournament until next week’s RAW! The Chairman then tells Rey Mysterio not to be “selfish” before Rey begrudgingly exits the ring. WWE Chairman Mr. McMahon then reiterates that “no one man is bigger than the WWE” before stating that he can “make another John Cena” and “thanking” Cena for his contributions. McMahon continues that it is not about his “personal ego” or his need to “win all the time”, it is about “business” and he does what is “right” for the fans from a “business perspective”. The Chairman then states that, in time, the fans will “thank” him and states “let’s get it over with” before John Cena comes out. Cena takes the microphone from Mr. McMahon and states that he is not going to “go through” what Shawn Michaels had to go through. Cena continues that McMahon made Michaels “bend over backwards” and made the Hall of Famer “carry the burden” of having “screwed Bret”. Cena then states that he thought about it and he did not want to be the “guy who screwed CM Punk”, because he did not want to be McMahon’s “patsy”. Cena then “thanks” CM Punk for a “hell of a match” at Money-in-the-Bank before stating that he does his “business” a certain way and, if he went along with McMahon’s plan, the WWE Championship would have been made “meaningless”. Cena then states that the Chairman will do some “hocus pocus” and find an opponent for Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson at WrestleMania XXVIII. Cena then tells McMahon that he “loves the WWE” and he “truly believes” he “belongs”, adding that he “loves this” and he will “walk onto someone’s else’s television show, brother”! Cena then vows that he will not kiss McMahon’s “ass” before slamming the microphone into the chest of the Chairman. Mr. McMahon then gets ready to dole his punishment out to John Cena, but before he could, presumably, fire John Cena, the familiar music of “The Game” Triple H blared throughout the arena! Mr. McMahon’s son-in-law reveals that there was a meeting with the WWE Board of Directors and they sent him out there to discuss the “situation”, adding that the Board is “concerned” about the Chairman. Triple H continues that the Board of Directors is concerned about McMahon’s “extremely questionable decisions as of late” before pleading with McMahon that they continue their discussion backstage, which the Chairman refuses. Triple H then informs Mr. McMahon that the Board has “filed an injunction” against the Chairman “with a vote of no confidence”, adding that “the family agrees”! Triple H then makes the announcement that the Board of Directors have “appointed someone to take over the day-to-day operations of the WWE” before revealing that he, Triple H, has been assigned that position! Triple H then reveals that McMahon is “not going to fire John Cena or do anything else” before telling his father-in-law that, from day one, he was told that “nobody is bigger than this business”. Triple H then tells an emotional Vince McMahon that, after nearly three decades of running the company, Vince is “relieved” of his “duties” as Chairman of the WWE, adding “I love you, Pop” before the emotional new Chairman of the WWE leaves the ring, leaving a tear-filled Vince McMahon to stand alone in the ring, no longer the owner of the company that he built and made what it is today! In what has to be the biggest shocker in WWE history, the son-in-law of Vince McMahon, Triple H, has been named the new Chairman of the WWE with Vince McMahon being fired by the WWE Board of Directors after twenty-nine years as Chairman of the company! With Triple H becoming the new WWE Chairman, what will become of former Chairman Vince McMahon? What is the future of the WWE now that Triple H is running the entire company?
