The Redman Report: WWE Raw 20/6/11: Power To All The Little Jimmies!By Jimmy Redman| June 22, 2011 The Redman Report SO MUCH TO LOVE. Mark Henry. R-Truth. Christian. The Miz. CM Punk. Rey Mysterio. Alberto Del Rio. Kofi Kingston. Vickie Guerrero. The Women’s World Champion of the World. Legit dont know where to start. There was so much to love on this show it scares me. I laughed at CM Punk’s new gimmick of being an internet mark wrestler. Hitting the buttons of “wrestler” and “wins and losses matter” and all the rest. SNOW ANGELS. Only this man can get away with something like this. I like how Punk being an idiot actually screwed himself and they ended up with the triple threat. This was a great little segment and in 10 minutes I’m interested in CM Punk again. Eve, Kelly, or Beth Phoenix. Wow, I wonder who will win. KELLY IS SO ORANGE. Just so, so much fake tan. But anyway, this was fine and I really dug the finish. THE NEW WOMEN’S WORLD CHAMPION OF THE ENTIRE WORLD BITCHES. I marked out. She looked genuinely happy too, good on her. I love them doing another Joe Rogan promo here, and Kelly was cool thanking the fans. This came across as just a nice babyface moment, I enjoyed it immensely. LOL Mason Ryan. Since its Thursday now I know why this happened (voting overflow from Kelly, seriously) but at the time I was just flabbergasted. Evan’s WTF reaction was funny. I laughed forever at the slowest small package in history, but otherwise this was bad. Poor Evan. At least we get Bourne/Cara next week (spoiler alert). MARK HENRY IS THE BADDEST MOTHERF*CKER ALIVE. What a man. I didnt hate the arm wrestling even though the crowd did, they put a lot of work into that ‘match’. And Henry just beating the crap out of Kane ruled. Henry is a beast. I loved the way he was ranting and raving all the way up the ramp too. This ended up as great and I am so in love with Mark Henry. And the best news is…he’s on Smackdown. R-TRUTH! He got okeydoked by Little Jimmy. This is the Greatest Man in the Entire World, folks. I love the “LITTLE JIMMY” chants, this guy has got something so ridiculous so over so quickly, its great. Truth is so great I was actually sad that Christian came out. But he was good too. Brothers fighting against C. O. N. Spiracies here. And now Miz. Miz has no complaints, he lost clean. Whatever. OK, laughed at this breaking down into a COMEDY battle. I like the idea of a guy saying “REALLY!” back to Miz as a comeback, and it took off from there. Truth’s ridiculousness rubs off on those around him. And we end up with a TLo sighting and a fun 6-man main event. So much win here. Kofi/Dolph #597! Oh God, the Vickie stip will win but I’m desperate for 2/3 Falls. WOAH YEAH! Thank you WWE Universe. Vickie realising she hadnt lost was great. Anyway, these guys. Kofi is Angry Kofi going after Dolph after losing his title. Doing a fall during an ad sucked, they really took me out of it there. Anyway, this was more good work, and BAMSOS! That was an INSANE bump Dolph took for that, sweet. I like the splash to the back Kofi has added. Loved the little outside bit with the TIP, and Dolph scraping TWO FINGERS on the rope was an awesome detail. The DQ finish just killed me because by this point I was so into Kofi once again I was willing him on to win. THAT is why I love this guy. Dolph selling death all the way up the ramp was great. Anyway, sign me up for #598! It was seriously sad to have Justin Roberts have to announce Alberto. Alberto staring at him for daring to was great though. I want Ricardo. This was a fine promo, anyway. Punk vs Rey vs Alberto RULED THE F*CKING WORLD. What an awesome match. Just non stop spots and counters and action and awesome. The early Rey senton that landed Punk’s head on the barricade was brutal. There were some just amazing three-way spots, like the Cross Armbreaker so Punk just kicks him in the head, I loved that. Then the German Suplex pin and Punk swept Alberto from under the bridge. And OH MY GOD, REY IS EL GENERICO. Rey doing the rolling senton onto Punk into the suicide dive onto Alberto was AWESOME. And then even more spots and more spots, and I swear I bought Rey’s final combo as a finish for a second, before Punk wins. Just an incredible, action-packed match, best TV match in forever. And now we get the SUMMER OF PUNK. Jesus Christ, this is turning into an indy show. It never ceases to amaze me, you know. In the same week that we have the whole internet ablaze about how Vince never listens to them, we have CM Punk here cutting internet promos and recreating the Summer of Punk in WWE. On another note, after all of the good TV matches they’ve had I’m so glad Cena and Punk finally get the PPV main event they deserve. In Chicago. Its going to be INSANE. [singlepic id=771 w=250 h=350 float=center] Bryan vs Cody was fine. I laughed that No Count Out won since, it seems, it was the only stipulation that people understood. Michael Cole went (even further) down a cliff here though, which just pissed me off. Vickie dancing. I have to see this. She actually wasnt the worst shaking her ass. Ahaha, I like to think people chose Cole because they wanted him to make a fool of himself. Problem is, he was so bad that it was funny and people cheered him. I enjoyed Vickie slapping Cole and her exit. Seriously, this is a middle aged, untrained housewife coming out here and doing this, not to mention losing 50 lbs to boot. I have so much respect for Vickie, honestly. Main event was fun. The only thing I didnt like was eliminating Riley so much earlier than everyone else, to me it made him look a little goofy. I like that they cheated to beat him though. Match in general was just a fun multi-man, some good heel work and good babyface selling from both guys. And I already knew it but I have to say again, John Cena is the hardest apron worker in the world. This guy is so great on the apron. Anyway, I would have actually preferred a heel finish here, to be honest, but they way they did it was fine, particularly Christian pinning Orton but being undone by his ego. And all in all, a tremendously good show.
