WWE Monday Night RAW March 21, 2011 Results

Just two weeks before WrestleMania, the 930th edition of WWE Monday Night RAW came to you, live, from the CONSOL Energy Center in Pittsburgh, PA. Thirteen nights before he goes one-on-one with CM Punk at WrestleMania, “The Viper” Randy Orton would relive a past WrestleMania as Orton would go one-on-one with “The Ultimate Underdog” Rey Mysterio in a WrestleMania Rewind Match! Also, after being assaulted by WWE Champion The Miz for the fourth week in a row last week, the #1 Contender for the WWE Title, John Cena, would respond to last week’s attack on RAW!

Detailed Results

The show would look like it was going to kick off in a major way as the “Voice of the WWE” was introduced to be Hall of Famer Jim Ross, but it would turn out to be a ruse by commentator Michael Cole as, one week after he and his “trainer” Jack Swagger brutalized Hall of Famers Jim Ross and Jerry “The King” Lawler, the brash commentator would come out with a black cowboy hat on, a stuffed shirt, cotton stuffed in his mouth, an ankle in a cast, and a bottle of barbecue sauce as Cole would shamelessly mock “Good Ol’ J.R.” to the face of Jerry Lawler before quickly retreating to the safety of his “Cole Mine”!

Thirteen nights before he goes one-on-one with The Undertaker in a No Holds Barred Match at WrestleMania where he will look to end the 18-0 undefeated streak of The Undertaker, the show would truly kick off in a major way as “The Game” Triple H would appear! Triple H states that, in two weeks, it is the “defining moment” of both his and The Undertaker’s careers and states that the “whole world” is talking about their No Holds Barred showdown at WrestleMania! Triple H continues that he can “assure” everyone that neither he or The Undertaker will be the “same” again and, in the “biggest match” of his life, and ending the WrestleMania streak of The Undertaker will be a “career-defining moment”! Triple H then challenges The Undertaker to come to RAW next week and he wants to stand face-to-face with The Undertaker “one last time” before their match so he can look The Undertaker in the “eye” and tell him that Undertaker will “lose” at WrestleMania! Triple H continues that, if he can’t defeat The Undertaker at WrestleMania, then he will “die trying” before Triple H vows that, at WrestleMania, Undertaker will go 18-1 and The Undertaker will “rest in peace”!

After laying out his challenge to The Undertaker for next week’s RAW, Triple H was set to make his exit, but is interrupted by “The Fortunate Son” Ted DiBiase as DiBiase states that, at last year’s WrestleMania, he was competing against Randy Orton, but this year, he is just an “afterthought”! DiBiase would then asks Triple H what if he “took out” Triple H two weeks before WrestleMania and then people will be talking about him! DiBiase would then take one step in the ring before being knocked out of the ring by Triple H! A determined and fired up Triple H would then send Ted DiBiase into the steel steps before smashing the face of the third-generation star off of the steel steps! Triple H would then send DiBiase spine-first into the ringside barricade before grabbing a steel chair and waylaying the back of “The Fortunate Son” with a pair of vile chair shots before jabbing the back of DiBiase with additional chair shots! Triple H would then disassemble the announce table before drilling DiBiase through the announce table with the Pedigree in a clear cut message directed at The Undertaker! What will happen on next week’s RAW when The Undertaker comes to RAW to go face-to-face with Triple H just six nights before their No Holds Barred showdown at WrestleMania?

One week after defeating Daniel Bryan to become the new United States Champion in a match where his career was on the line, the new United States Champion King Sheamus would go one-on-one with Evan Bourne in a non-title match! In the end, it was King Sheamus moving out of the way of Air Bourne and blasting Evan Bourne with the Brogue Kick en route to picking up the win! After the match, King Sheamus would proclaim that he is the “new champion of the United States of America”, but Sheamus is interrupted by the former United States Champion, Daniel Bryan, comes out and challenges King Sheamus to a rematch for the United States Title at WrestleMania! Sheamus would throw the title belt in the face of Bryan, allowing Sheamus to blast Daniel Bryan with the Brogue Kick! In his WrestleMania debut, can Daniel Bryan unseat King Sheamus and regain the United States Title?

One week after defeating Mason Ryan and punting him out of action to make his WrestleMania match with CM Punk truly one-on-one, “The Viper” Randy Orton would arrive to the arena in his personal bus and Orton states that his favorite piece of footage to watch on his bus is him punting The New Nexus out of action! Orton then states that CM Punk has no idea what “sick and twisted” is all about!

The Divas would be in action on RAW as Divas Champion Eve Torres would go one-on-one with former Divas Champion Maryse in a non-title match! Despite Michael Cole’s attempts to, once again, interrupt the match, Eve Torres would hit her modified neckbreaker on Maryse en route to picking up the win! After the match, a furious Eve Torres would try and get her hands on Michael Cole, but Cole’s personal security would keep the Divas Champion at bay, but Eve would get a glancing slap in on Cole before being sent to the back by Cole’s security!

Three nights after their absolute annihilation of two of the WWE’s most dominant forces in Kane and Big Show, The Corre would appear on RAW as WWE Tag Team Champions Heath Slater & Justin Gabriel, with Corre members Wade Barrett & Ezekiel Jackson in their corner, would face the former WWE Tag Team Champions Santino Marella & Vladimir Kozlov in a non-title match! In the end, it was a timely distraction by Wade Barrett that would allow Heath Slater to hit Sweetness on Vladimir Kozlov, followed by the 450 Splash of Justin Gabriel, that would allow Heath Slater & Justin Gabriel to pick up the win!

After the match, The Corre looked set to dismantle Santino Marella & Vladimir Kozlov, but the attack would be brought to a halt with the arrival of Kane and Big Show as the two giants would dismantle The Corre as Kane would hurl Justin Gabriel into the ringside barricade while Big Show delivers the Knockout Punch to Heath Slater! Kane would then deliver a big boot to Wade Barrett before Kane & Big Show would plant Ezekiel Jackson with a thunderous double chokeslam as Kane, Big Show, Santino Marella, & Vladimir Kozlov would stand tall in the ring! How will The Corre respond to the surprise re-emergence of Kane and Big Show?

One week after being assaulted by WWE Champion The Miz, who had disguised himself as The Rock, for the fourth week in a row, the #1 Contender for the WWE Title, John Cena, would appear live, via satellite from his home to respond to The Miz’s attack and The Rock’s appearance on next week’s RAW! John Cena starts by stating that, on next week’s RAW, he will go face-to-face with The Rock and their “problem gets settled”! Cena then admits that he has “underestimated” The Miz and Cena states that the fact that he is sitting at home is “proof” of The Miz’s merit as WWE Champion! Cena then vows that, at WrestleMania, he plans on “making history”! What will happen on next week’s RAW when John Cena goes face-to-face with The Rock just six nights before he challenges The Miz for the WWE Title at WrestleMania?

One week after bringing out Jerry “The King” Lawler’s son, Brian Christopher, to embarrass the Hall of Famer moments before he and Jack Swagger would viciously assault both Jerry Lawler and legendary announcer Jim Ross, Michael Cole would appear with his “trainer”, Jack Swagger, on RAW! With Swagger staring Lawler down at ringside, Michael Cole would state that he was so “touched” by the “family reunion” between Jerry Lawler and Brian Christopher last week before showing footage of Brian Christopher telling his father that he was “ashamed” of the Hall of Famer! Cole then reveals that Brian Christopher gave him a “gift” for allowing him to appear on RAW last week and that gift was the Lawler family photo album! Cole first shows a picture of Lawler’s deceased father, William Lawler, and Cole states that Lawler’s father must have been thinking that Lawler was a “dork” and calling Lawler’s father a “midget”! With Jack Swagger staring in the face of Jerry Lawler, keeping Lawler at bay as Cole states that both Lawler and his father are “cowards” and “bullies”! Cole then proclaims that, at WrestleMania, he is going to put Lawler in his “place” before telling Lawler that Lawler’s entire family have one thing in common, they are all a “bunch of losers”!

Not able to take the verbal berating of his family any longer, Jerry Lawler would get up from his seat and would get knocked down by Jack Swagger, but Lawler would fight back and would temporarily knock down Swagger! Lawler would then set his sights on Michael Cole, but Cole would flee the ring and, as Lawler would pursue Cole, Swagger would catch Lawler with a vicious clothesline! Cole would then take refuge in his “Cole Mine” as Swagger pushes the face of the Hall of Famer into the cage wall and locks in the ankle lock on Jerry Lawler on the arena floor! With Lawler down, Michael Cole would come out of the “Cole Mine” and lock in his self-proclaimed “an-Cole lock” on Jerry Lawler! After using Jack Swagger to assault Jerry Lawler once again, what fate awaits Michael Cole in thirteen nights at WrestleMania when Swagger is in Cole’s corner when he goes one-on-one with “The King” with Stone Cold Steve Austin as the Special Referee?

Thirteen nights before he teams with LayCool to face the team of John Morrison, Trish Stratus, & Snooki in a 6-Person Mixed Tag Match at WrestleMania, “The Platinum Superstar” Dolph Ziggler, with girlfriend Vickie Guerrero and LayCool in his corner, would go one-on-one with “The Prince of Parkour” John Morrison, with seven-time Women’s Champion Trish Stratus in his corner! During the match, Michelle McCool would attempt to distract John Morrison, but Trish Stratus would take down both Layla & Michelle McCool before the anonymous General Manager of RAW would chime in with an email that would announce that a 4-on-2 Intergender Handicap Match would take place as John Morrison would team with Trish Stratus to take on the team of Dolph Ziggler, LayCool, & Vickie Guerrero!

Per the orders of the anonymous General Manager of RAW, “The Prince of Parkour” John Morrison would team with “The Diva of the Decade” Trish Stratus to face Dolph Ziggler, LayCool, & Vickie Guerrero in a 4-on-2 Intergender Handicap Match! At the end of a chaotic match, it was Dolph Ziggler sending John Morrison shoulder-first into the steel ring post before hitting the Zig Zag on Morrison and allowing his girlfriend, Vickie Guerrero, to pin John Morrison to pick up the win for her team! What will happen in two weeks at WrestleMania when John Morrison and Trish Stratus teams with Jersey Shore star Snooki to face Dolph Ziggler and LayCool in a 6-Person Mixed Tag Match?

Thirteen nights before he goes one-on-one with CM Punk at WrestleMania, “The Viper” Randy Orton would go one-on-one with “The Ultimate Underdog” Rey Mysterio thirteen nights before Rey goes one-on-one with Cody Rhodes, in a WrestleMania Rewind Match from WrestleMania 22! During the match, Randy Orton looked ready to deliver the RKO to Rey Mysterio, but CM Punk would appear on the big screen and would tell his WrestleMania opponent that he may not know what “sick and twisted” is all about, but he does know that Orton has a tour bus before saying that he is going to go meet Orton’s wife! Randy Orton would then rush from the ring to the backstage area and Orton would make it to his tour bus in the parking lot, but the door would be locked and Punk would blast Orton in the knee with a steel wrench! After telling Orton’s wife to “shut up”, Orton’s wife would watch as Punk would tell Orton that he should not have punted the members of The New Nexus before saying that it’s a “kick in the head” and kicking Orton in the head before leaving the area, allowing Orton’s wife to tend to her husband! What is the status of Randy Orton following this heinous attack by CM Punk?

Then it was time for The Miz to present, what the WWE Champion would call, the “rewriting of Miz-tory”, as The Miz’s former “apprentice” Alex Riley reveals that he has been “rehired” as the “Vice President of Corporate Communications”! Riley would then introduce the WWE Champion, The Miz, would come out and state that the fans have been “blessed with the honor” of watching him! Miz continues that, when he was getting started in the WWE, everyone said he was “annoying”, but now everyone “hangs” onto his every word! Miz then states that he has “rewritten history” because someone has come along who has “more charisma” than Shawn Michaels, is more “dominant” than Andre The Giant, and “far more intelligent” than John Cena and The Rock combined because he is the “greatest WWE Champion in history”! Miz continues that he has become “bigger” than the WWE and has “flipped” the WWE around before stating that he has turned the WWE’s logo upside down to stand for Miz! The Miz then proclaims that it is “time to rewrite Miz-story” before The Miz unveils his new WWE Title belt, which features the WWE logo turned upside down in the center! The Miz states that it is the new look of the WWE Title moving forward and he does not intend on being a “multi-time” WWE Champion because he will never lose the title! This leads John Cena to appear on the big screen to mock The Miz’s new title belt before saying that Miz should not have made him “angry” and as the crew removes the apparent fake walls of what was supposed to be Cena’s home, Cena reveals that he is at “home”, the same “home” he has been in for the past nine years, the WWE! Cena then states that Miz and Riley are in his “living room” and it’s time to take out the “trash”! With those words, Cena would make his way to the ring and would overcome a two-on-one onslaught by Miz and Riley, but The Miz would narrowly escape, leaving Cena to lock in his STF on Alex Riley! The Miz would then come back out, but would opt not to save his associate and would head to the back, leaving Riley to get locked in Cena’s STF once again as referees would eventually wrench the determined John Cena off of Alex Riley! John Cena appears ready for WrestleMania, but what will go down when Cena challenges The Miz for the WWE Title at WrestleMania? What will happen on next week’s RAW when The Rock, John Cena, and WWE Champion The Miz are all in the same building just six nights before WrestleMania?
