Alberto Del Rio King of the Ring Qualifying Matches To Take Place Survivor Series Fallout The 24th annual WWE Survivor Series came to you, live on pay-per-view, from the American Airlines Arena in Miami, FL. Since losing to Wade Barrett, with some help from Husky Harris & Michael McGillicutty, at WWE Hell in a Cell, John Cena has been forced to degrade himself to the lowest points of his career all to appease Wade Barrett as, if Cena would not comply, Cena would be fired and, now, at Survivor Series, John Cena will be faced with the tough decision of being free or fired as Cena will serve as the Special Referee for the WWE Title match where Randy Orton will defend the WWE Title against Nexus leader Wade Barrett in a match that can only end in pinfall or submission and The Nexus will be banned from ringside and, if Wade Barrett wins the WWE Title, then John Cena will be free of any obligations to The Nexus, but if Wade Barrett does not win the WWE Title, then John Cena will be fired from the WWE! Ever since abducting Paul Bearer a couple of weeks ago on SmackDown, Edge has humiliated “The Father of Destruction” while eluding a livid Kane all to try and gain the psychological advantage needed to win the World Heavyweight Title and the culmination of Edge’s plan will come at Survivor Series when “The Rated-R Superstar” challenges Kane for the World Heavyweight Title! In their continuing rivalry going back to Alberto Del Rio breaking Rey Mysterio’s wrist a few months ago, Rey Mysterio would lead “The World’s Largest Athlete” Big Show, “The Ballin’ Superstar” MVP, Kofi Kingston, & “The Masterpiece” Chris Masters to face Alberto Del Rio, who would lead “The All-American American” Jack Swagger, “The Sinister Scotsman” Drew McIntyre, “Dashing” Cody Rhodes, & Tyler Reks as Team Mysterio would face Team Del Rio in a Traditional 5-on-5 Survivor Series Elimination Tag Match! After protecting Santino Marella from countless attacks at the hands of Sheamus, John Morrison would go one-on-one with “The Celtic Warrior” Sheamus! After picking up an upset win over Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler on SmackDown, Kaval would cash in his future title shot earned by winning NXT Season Two to challenge Dolph Ziggler for the Intercontinental Title! After refusing to take back his Million Dollar Title from his father on RAW, Ted DiBiase would reveal that he had a different title in his sights before attacking Daniel Bryan, “The Fortunate Son” would get his shot at the gold as Ted DiBiase would challenge Daniel Bryan for the United States Title! After failing to win the Divas Title on two previous occasions due to outside interference from a member of LayCool, Natalya would get her hands on both Layla & Michelle McCool as Natalya would challenge both members of LayCool for the Divas Title in a 2-on-1 Handicap Match! After defeating Jey & Jimmy Uso on RAW to become the new #1 Contenders, Santino Marella & Vladimir Kozlov would get their shot at the gold as Santino & Kozlov would challenge Nexus members Heath Slater & Justin Gabriel for the WWE Tag Team Titles! WWE Survivor Series (November 21, 2010) Good Night For: Randy Orton (retained the WWE Title against Wade Barrett) Bad Night For: John Cena (was forced to count the three for Randy Orton and, thus, was fired from the WWE) Detailed Results Follow… The show kicks off with the United States Title on the line as Daniel Bryan would defend the gold against “The Fortunate Son” Ted DiBiase, with Maryse in his corner! At the end of a strong opening match, it was Daniel Bryan, injured shoulder and all, locking in the LeBell Lock, forcing Ted DiBiase to tap out en route to successfully retain the United States Title! After the match, Daniel Bryan would be making his exit following his big win, but The Miz would come from behind and blast Bryan with the Money-in-the-Bank briefcase! The Miz, along with his “apprentice” Alex Riley, would then say that The Nexus is like the Miami Heat because their stars both think they are “entitled” to championships, but that Wade Barrett could win a championship while LeBron James never will before saying that LeBron should “apologize” to Cleveland! The Miz then addresses both WWE Champion Randy Orton and #1 Contender Wade Barrett by saying that he is “tired” of carrying the Money-in-the-Bank briefcase, so it is a “question of when” as to when he will cash in the Money-in-the-Bank title opportunity! Will The Miz cash in his Money-in-the-Bank contract on the WWE Champion, whoever that might be, by the end of the night? After having John Morrison come to Santino Marella’s aid on several occasions in attempted attacks by Sheamus, “The Celtic Warrior” Sheamus would go one-on-one with “The Guru of Greatness” John Morrison! In the end, it was John Morrison hitting the Flash Kick and following it up with a knee to the face on Sheamus en route to picking up a big win over the former WWE Champion! Backstage, R-Truth meets with his good friend, John Cena, before Cena serves as the Special Referee in the WWE Title match later in the night and Truth tells Cena his plan to interfere in the match and “accidentally” take WWE Champion Randy Orton out to allow Wade Barrett to win the WWE Title and allow Cena to be “guilt-free”! Cena fires back and tells R-Truth that he is going to call the match “down the middle” and R-Truth tells Cena that he will “believe it” when he “sees it”! When his job is on the line, will John Cena call it down the middle and risk losing his job? After defeating Dolph Ziggler in a non-title match on SmackDown, “The World Warrior” Kaval would get his shot at the Intercontinental Title as Kaval would challenge Dolph Ziggler, with Vickie Guerrero in his corner, for the gold! At the end of a hard-fought match, it was Dolph Ziggler rolling Kaval up and grabbing the tights to pick up the win and retain the Intercontinental Title! Then it was time for the Traditional 5-on-5 Survivor Series Elimination Tag Match as Team Mysterio, comprising of “The Master of the 619” Rey Mysterio, “The World’s Largest Athlete” Big Show, Miami’s own “Ballin’ Superstar” MVP, Kofi Kingston, & “The Masterpiece” Chris Masters would face Team Del Rio, comprising of the self-proclaimed “Essence of Excellence” Alberto Del Rio, “The All-American American” Jack Swagger, “The Sinister Scotsman” Drew McIntyre, “Dashing” Cody Rhodes, & Tyler Reks! The first elimination would take place when MVP would go for a suplex on Drew McIntyre that would bring McIntyre back into the ring from the apron, but when MVP would lift McIntyre up for the suplex, Alberto Del Rio would take the legs out from under MVP, allowing McIntyre to fall into the pin while Del Rio held MVP’s feet down, keeping MVP from kicking out! Shortly after this, Alberto Del Rio would lock in the cross armbreaker on Chris Masters, forcing Masters to tap out! Later on in the match, Alberto Del Rio would be faced with Big Show, but would tag Drew McIntyre into the match and would taunt Big Show over tagging out and Show would respond by laying Del Rio out with the Knockout Punch, leading to WWE officials having to assist Del Rio to the back! Big Show would later follow this up with another Knockout Punch, this time laying “Dashing” Cody Rhodes out en route to elimination Rhodes! The next elimination would see Kofi Kingston popping out of the tree of woe to deliver to feet to the face of Tyler Reks before securing a roll-up on Reks to eliminate Reks! Shortly after this, Jack Swagger would even the odds by forcing Kofi Kingston to tap out to the ankle lock! Rey Mysterio would score the next elimination by hitting the 619 on Jack Swagger before leaping off of the shoulders of Big Show in a high-altitude splash to eliminate Swagger! Rey Mysterio would then hit the 619 on Drew McIntyre before Big Show plants McIntyre with the chokeslam en route to pinning McIntyre and winning the match for Team Mysterio with Big Show & Rey Mysterio remaining! Then it was time for the Divas Title to be defended as both Layla & Michelle McCool would defend the Divas Title against Natalya in a 2-on-1 Handicap Match! In the end, it was Natalya throwing Michelle McCool into Layla, allowing Natalya to lock in the Sharpshooter on Michelle McCool, forcing McCool to tap out to win the Divas Title! After the match, Michelle McCool would blast Natalya from behind, leading to a two-on-one assault on LayCool, but “The Glamazon” Beth Phoenix would make her surprise return to send McCool packing before laying Layla out with the Glam Slam! How will LayCool respond to the return of Beth Phoenix and losing the Divas Title to Natalya? After abducting Kane’s father Paul Bearer a couple of weeks ago, citing that he had a “plan”, it was then time for “The Rated-R Superstar” Edge to challenge Kane for the World Heavyweight Title! In the end, it was Edge hitting the Spear on Kane and pinning Kane to seemingly win the World Heavyweight Title, but the referee would hand the title to Kane before explaining to the ring announcer that both Kane and Edge’s shoulders were down, resulting in a Draw, meaning that Kane retains the World Heavyweight Title! After the match, Kane would attack Edge, but, when the action spilled to the outside of the ring, Edge would take advantage by dropping Kane, face-first, onto the steel steps and running Kane into the steel ring post before placing Kane in a wheelchair and running Kane into the ringside barricade, sending the World Heavyweight Champion crashing through the barricade! This issue between Edge & Kane appears to be far from over, but how will Kane respond to Edge’s attack? Will Kane ever find out the whereabouts of his father, Paul Bearer? Then it was time for the WWE Tag Team Titles to be on the line as Nexus members Heath Slater & Justin Gabriel, with fellow Nexus members David Otunga, Husky Harris, & Michael McGilliccuty at ringside, would defend the gold against Santino Marella & Vladimir Kozlov! In the end, it was a distraction from The Nexus that would allow Heath Slater to hit his modified jumping neckbreaker en route to pinning Santino Marella to retain the WWE Tag Team Titles! After the match, the five Nexus member stomp away at Santino; kicking Santino the outside! The anonymous General Manager of RAW would then chime in with an email that reveals the fate of The Nexus if they interfere in the WWE Title match as, if The Nexus interferes in the match, the entire group will be “suspended indefinitely” from the WWE! Then it was time for the much anticipated main event as Randy Orton would defend the WWE Title against Nexus leader Wade Barrett with reluctant Nexus member John Cena serving as the Special Referee in a match that can only end by pinfall or submission and will have The Nexus banned from ringside and, if Wade Barrett wins the WWE Title, then John Cena will be free of any obligations to The Nexus, but if Wade Barrett does not win the WWE Title, then John Cena will be fired from the WWE! In the end, it would look like Wade Barrett would win the WWE Title after hitting the Wasteland on Randy Orton, but Orton would grab the bottom rope to break up the count! This would spark a confrontation between Wade Barrett and John Cena where Barrett would shove Cena and Cena would shove Barrett right into an RKO by Randy Orton and Cena would reluctantly count to three to allow Randy Orton to retain the WWE Title, meaning that John Cena was fired from the WWE! After this shocking result, The Nexus would rush out, but Randy Orton and John Cena would fight off The Nexus before Cena would go to the outside and grab the WWE Title to hand it to Randy Orton before embracing his former rival! After Randy Orton left the ring, John Cena was left alone in the ring and, with his dream of being a WWE Superstar over, Cena would place his signature wristbands in the ring before saluting the WWE fans and venturing through the crowd; through the fans that have supported him all these years and greeting as many fans as he could before taking his final bow on the stage and heading to the backstage area for the final time. One night after a shocking and unforgettable WWE Survivor Series, the 913th edition of WWE Monday Night RAW came to you, live, from the Amway Center in Orlando, FL. After Survivor Series saw John Cena stick to his word and call the WWE Title match “down the middle” to award the WWE Title to still champion Randy Orton, resulting in John Cena being fired from the WWE, the realization of Cena’s departure as well as the fallout from Survivor Series would be felt on RAW! Monday Night RAW (November 22, 2010) Good Week For: The Miz (shocked the world by cashing in his Money-in-the-Bank contract en route to successfully winning the WWE Title) Bad Week For: Randy Orton (overcame an attack by The Nexus to narrowly retain the WWE Title, only to have The Miz take the WWE Title) Detailed Results Follow… One night after failing to win the WWE Title, the show kicks off with Nexus leader Wade Barrett, with The Nexus in tow, as Barrett, through the boos and “Cena” chants ringing through the Amway Center, states that John Cena was “willing to sacrifice his entire career to do, what he felt, was the right thing” and that he went into the WWE Title match “without a fighting chance” since Cena knew what he was going to do before the match! Barrett then accuses Cena of being “biased from the very beginning” and that it was “unfair”! Barrett continues that, in the history of the WWE, a referee has “never once” been allowed to place his hands on a competitor, but that is what John Cena did as Cena “purposely” pushed him into to an RKO by Randy Orton before stating that it was “unjust”, “unfair”, and “unprofessional”! Barrett then states that he wants another shot at the WWE Title, but this time with a “neutral referee” so he can “prove” that he can beat Randy Orton and become the WWE Champion! This prompts the anonymous General Manager of RAW to chime in with an email that announces that Randy Orton will defend the WWE Title again and it will happen on RAW! Wade Barrett responds to this announcement by revealing that he will “allow” John Cena to appear on RAW so that he could say his “final words” to the WWE fans before saying that he looks forward to hearing Cena’s “final words” almost as much as he looks forward to becoming the new WWE Champion! With John Cena seemingly out of the picture, can Wade Barrett defeat Randy Orton and win the WWE Title? What will happen when John Cena appears on RAW? It was revealed on RAW that next week’s RAW will be a special three-hour King of the Ring edition of RAW where Superstars from both RAW & SmackDown will converge to compete in the 2010 King of the Ring tournament with the winner being named the 2010 King of the Ring! Before the first match of the night, RAW Play-by-Play Announcer Michael Cole introduces the newest addition to the RAW Announce Team as Cole brings out “The Straightedge Savior” CM Punk to serve as a RAW commentator for the “foreseeable future”! The opening match would be a King of the Ring Qualifying Match as “The Celtic Warrior” Sheamus would go one-on-one with R-Truth with the winner getting a spot in next week’s 2010 King of the Ring tournament! In the end, it was Sheamus hitting the High Cross on R-Truth en route to picking up the win to qualify for the 2010 King of the Ring tournament next week! Who else will join Sheamus in the 2010 King of the Ring tournament? Then it was time for another King of the Ring Qualifying Match as “Big Zeke” Ezekiel Jackson would go one-on-one with “Mr. Money-in-the-Bank” The Miz, but before the match, Miz’s “apprentice” Alex Riley would announce that The Miz had an “anxiety attack” and, therefore, he will replace Miz in the match! In the end, it was Ezekiel Jackson dominating Alex Riley en route to hitting the Book of Ezekiel to pick up the win and qualify for next week’s King of the Ring tournament! Can anyone stop the seemingly unstoppable Ezekiel Jackson in next week’s King of the Ring tournament? One night after being fired from the WWE as a result of the WWE Title match, John Cena would make his farewell appearance on RAW to deliver his “final words” to the WWE fans! Cena states that he did not “think” that he would actually get fired, but he also did not “think” his WWE career would happen either! Cena then states that they have “no idea” how much he “respects” the WWE and everybody who have helped build the WWE to what it is today! Cena then states that he is not going to let The Nexus “ruin” his nine-year career! Cena continues that, when he started in the WWE, the company was a “big part” of his life and then the WWE “became” his life! An emotional Cena continues that his family has been so “patient” with him and let him be him before saying that he missed the birth of his brother Matt’s kid and that his mom’s birthday is in two days and he is going to fly back to West Newbury and his mom is going to get the “best birthday present she has gotten in ten years” by having her son be there for her birthday! Cena then says that the WWE fans are always “honest” before telling the women and children in the audience to chant “Let’s Go Cena” while the men over 18 chant “Cena Sucks”! Cena then states that, regardless of the chant, whenever he heard it, he “earned” it! Cena then states that, before he leaves, he wants to address Wade Barrett before telling Barrett to stop “taking the easy way out” as the WWE fans will give their all to him if Barrett does the same for them, warning Barrett of his “karma” if he continues to take “shortcuts”! John Cena then thanks the WWE fans for all that they do and have done before saying that everything that the WWE is today is because of the fans! Cena then exits the ring and stands on the stage as Cena gives one last salute to the WWE fans! Backstage, John Cena continues his walk out of the arena as various WWE Superstars & Divas applaud Cena! Cena would then shake the hand of and embrace WWE Champion Randy Orton before walking out of the arena as Nexus leader Wade Barrett delivers the signature “You Can’t See Me” taunt of John Cena behind Cena’s back! Then it as time for another King of the Ring Qualifying Match as United States Champion Daniel Bryan, with new “friend” Brie Bella in his corner, would go one-on-one with “The Fortunate Son” Ted DiBiase, with Maryse in his corner, in a non-title Survivor Series rematch! In the end, the result of the match was the same as the Survivor Series match as Daniel Bryan would force Ted DiBiase to tap out to the LeBell Lock to qualify for next week’s King of the Ring tournament! After the match, Nikki Bella also comes out to check on Daniel Bryan! Are The Bella Twins interested in Daniel Bryan? Can the twins “share” Daniel Bryan or will this drive a wedge in betweens The Bellas? One night after overcoming both Layla & Michelle McCool in a 2-on-1 Handicap Match to win the Divas Title, the new Divas Champion Natalya was in action on RAW as the new champion would go one-on-one with a former Divas Champion in Alicia Fox in a non-title bout! In the end, it was Natalya locking in the Sharpshooter, forcing Alicia Fox to tap out to pick up the win! One night after picking up a big win over Sheamus at Survivor Series, “The Guru of Greatness” John Morrison would go one-on-one with former Hart Dynasty member Tyson Kidd in a King of the Ring Qualifying Match! In the end, it was John Morrison hitting Starship Pain on Tyson Kidd en route to picking up the win and being the final RAW Superstar to qualify for next week’s King of the Ring tournament! Which SmackDown Superstars will join Sheamus, Ezekiel Jackson, Daniel Bryan, & John Morrison in next week’s King of the Ring tournament? Then it was seemingly time for the main event as Randy Orton would defend the WWE Title against Nexus leader Wade Barrett, but when the WWE Champion was making his way to the ring, Wade Barrett and The Nexus would strike, attacking Orton and leaving the WWE Champion with an apparent knee injury! What is the status of WWE Champion Randy Orton following this attack? After leading an attack by The Nexus on WWE Champion Randy Orton, Nexus leader Wade Barrett would come out for his WWE Title match and, after a short wait, the WWE Champion would gingerly make his way to the ring to try and defend his WWE Title in a match that can only end in pinfall or submission and The Nexus is banned from interfering! In the end, it looked like Wade Barrett would be crowned the new WWE Champion after hitting the Wasteland, but before the referee could count to three, John Cena would rush out and pull the referee out of the ring and would follow this up by delivering the Attitude Adjustment to Wade Barrett before The Nexus would chase Cena out of the arena! With the referee recovered and Wade Barrett slowly getting to his feet, Randy Orton would strike with the RKO en route to pinning Barrett to retain the WWE Title against all odds! It looked as though Randy Orton had narrowly avoided disaster by losing the WWE Title, but The Miz would rush and hand his Money-in-the-Bank briefcase over to the referee as it was announced that The Miz was cashing in his Money-in-the-Bank title opportunity to get his guaranteed shot at the WWE Title! In the end, it was The Miz taking advantage of the weakened and injured state of Randy Orton to hit the Skull Crushing Finale en route to shocking the world by winning the WWE Title! How will Randy Orton respond to The Miz taking full advantage of his condition to win the WWE Title? One week before the Season Three Finale, the eleventh week of WWE NXT Season Three came to you from the Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, FL. Only two Rookie Divas can enter the Season Three Finale and the competition will be narrowed to two as either A.J., Naomi, or Kaitlyn will be eliminated from NXT! WWE NXT (November 23, 2010) Good Week For: Naomi & Kaitlyn (advanced to the Season Three Finale of NXT) Bad Week For: A.J. (was shockingly eliminated from NXT) Detailed Results Follow… Before another NXT Rookie Diva is eliminated later in the night, the show kicks off with the three remaining Rookie Divas, A.J., Naomi, & Kaitlyn, would compete in the WWE Trivia challenge where the Rookie Divas would be asked a WWE Trivia question and whoever answers correctly in the first round will receive 100 points and whoever answers correctly in the second round will score 200 points! The first question asked who won Season One of NXT and Naomi correctly answers that Wade Barrett won the first season of NXT! The second question asked who the first female Pros in NXT were and A.J. correctly guesses that Layla & Michelle McCool had that job! A.J. would then correctly guess the name of the immigration officer who threatened to deport Aksana and A.J. would follow that up by answering the fourth question correctly by answering that The Miz was the WWE Pro for then-Rookie Daniel Bryan! Round two would then begin with more difficult questions and first up was a question about where the first WrestleMania was held and A.J. correctly answers that the first WrestleMania was held in Madison Square Garden! A.J. would continue to dominate the challenge by correctly guessing that The Undertaker was responsible for ending Shawn Michaels’ career and that Hall of Famer Fabulous Moolah once held the Women’s Title for an astounding twenty-seven years! A.J. would then correctly answer that Tribute To The Troops is the name of WWE’s annual visit to the troops overseas and brings the challenge home by correctly identifying “The Game” to be the moniker of Triple H! At the end of the challenge, A.J. scored a grand total of 1,300 points to beat out Naomi, who scored 100 points, and Kaitlyn, who scored 0 points! While this challenge did not wield a chance at immunity, will A.J.’s impressive knowledge of WWE Trivia keep her a part of NXT? The first match of the night would see a WWE Pro go one-on-one with an NXT Rookie Diva as WWE Pro Nikki Bella would face NXT Rookie Diva Kaitlyn! In the end, it was Nikki Bella hitting the Bella Facebuster on Kaitlyn en route to picking up the win! Will this loss affect Kaitlyn’s chances of staying a part of NXT? Then it was time for the NXT Rookie Divas to face off as A.J. would go one-on-one with Naomi! In the end, it was A.J. locking on her new Octopus submission move to force Naomi to tap out en route to winning the match! Can A.J.’s win and her challenge wins keep her from elimination? Then it was time for the second challenge of the night as the three Rookie Divas would compete in the Last Sumo Standing Challenge where the Rookie Divas would compete in Sumo suits! With A.J. getting a bye into the Finals after winning the first challenge of the night, Kaitlyn would face, and defeat, Naomi in the Semi-Finals match to advance to the Finals against A.J.! In the end, it was Kaitlyn emerging the winner of the Last Sumo Standing Challenge! Then it was time to find out who would be eliminated as either A.J., Naomi, or Kaitlyn would be sent home and have their dreams dashed! It would then be revealed that, in a shocking turn of events, A.J. would be the one sent home by the WWE Pros and WWE fans! After her surprising elimination, A.J. would thank everyone who voted for her and supported her before stating that the WWE needs a Diva to represent the WWE fans! A.J. would then vow that the WWE has not seen the last of A.J.! With only Naomi & Kaitlyn remaining for next week’s Season Three Finale of NXT, who will be named the winner of NXT Season Three to become the WWE’s next breakout Diva? The 84th edition of WWE Supersars came to you, on Thanksgiving Day, from the Amway Center in Orlando, FL and from the Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, FL. In a rematch from a couple of weeks ago on WWE Superstars, “The World’s Strongest Man” Mark Henry would face both Jey & Jimmy Uso in a 2-on-1 Handicap Match! In a rematch from last week’s WWE Superstars, former WWE Tag Team Champion Curt Hawkins would go one-on-one with “The Dude Buster” Trent Barreta! WWE Superstars (November 25, 2010) Good Week For: Mark Henry (defeated both Jey & Jimmy Uso in a 2-on-1 Handicap Match) Bad Week For: Jey & Jimmy Uso (even with a two-on-one advantage, could not defeat Mark Henry) Detailed Results Follow… WWE Superstars kicks off with a rematch from last week as former WWE Tag Team Champion Curt Hawkins would go one-on-one with “The Dude Buster” Trent Barreta! In the end, it was Curt Hawkins hitting a swinging facebuster on Trent Barreta en route to picking up the win! In the end, it was Mark Henry hitting the World’s Strongest Splash on both Usos before hitting the World’s Strongest Slam en route to picking up the win! Five nights after Survivor Series, the 588th edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown came to you, on the day after Thanksgiving, from the Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, FL. After Sheamus, Ezekiel Jackson, John Morrison, & United States Champion Daniel Bryan qualified for the RAW half of this Monday night’s King of the Ring tournament on a special three-hour edition of RAW, eight SmackDown Superstars would be looking to get their shot at royal immortality as eight of SmackDown’s best would compete in four King of the Ring Qualifying Matches including, for the first time ever, “The World’s Largest Athlete” Big Show going one-on-one with the self-proclaimed “Essence of Excellence” Alberto Del Rio! Also competing in King of the Ring Qualifying Matches would be “The Master of the 619” Rey Mysterio, “The All-American American” Jack Swagger, “The Chosen One” Drew McIntyre, “Dashing” Cody Rhodes, “The Ballin’ Superstar” MVP, & Kofi Kingston! Friday Night SmackDown (November 26, 2010) Good Week For: Edge (continued to humble and embarrass World Heavyweight Champion Kane) Bad Week For: Kane (was still unable to get his father, Paul Bearer, out of the hands of Edge) Detailed Results Follow… Five nights after his controversial, but successful, defense of the World Heavyweight Title against Edge at Survivor Series, the show kicks off with World Heavyweight Champion Kane, who states that, two weeks ago on SmackDown, Edge abducted the “one thing” that means “more” to him than the World Heavyweight Title and his “own life” in his father, Paul Bearer! Kane continues that Edge “mentally tortured” Paul Bearer with his actions last week and that Edge “used” Paul Bearer as “bait” and, at Survivor Series, Edge taunted him with an empty wheel chair, but despite all of that, he is still the World Heavyweight Champion! Kane then shouts that the abduction of Paul Bearer is “unprecedented and unlawful” before stating that he “promises” not to “destroy” Edge if he brings Paul Bearer back to him! Kane then states that he is “not a freak” and he is “not a monster” before stating that he has “feelings” and that, “deep down”, he is a “warm, caring human being who only wants to be with his family for the holidays”! Kane then states that he loves “all of the holidays” and that he just wants his father back! Kane’s apparent plea is then interrupted by “The Rated-R Superstar” Edge, who, once again, wheels out an empty wheelchair as Edge states that Paul Bearer was in the chair and he is in the arena tonight and that all Kane had to do was “ask”! Kane then demands to have Paul Bearer back and Edge tells the World Heavyweight Champion to ask him “nicely” and Kane asks as nice as possible, but Edge forces Kane to ask again, but to ask with “please” this time! Edge then continues to humble the champion by making him say it again, but still Edge calls Kane’s plea “insincere” before saying that Kane did not “mean a word” of it before leaving with the empty wheelchair! What will Kane do to bring his father, Paul Bearer, back to his side? Then it was time for the first King of the Ring Qualifying Match of the night as “The All-American American” Jack Swagger, with his personal mascot, the Swagger Soaring Eagle in his corner, would go one-on-one with Kofi Kingston with the winner advancing to this Monday’s three-hour King of the Ring edition of RAW to compete against Superstars from RAW and SmackDown in an attempt to be crowned the 2010 King of the Ring! At the end of a hard-fought match, it was Kofi Kingston countering the ankle lock of Jack Swagger, sending Swagger shoulder-first into the steel ring post en route to hitting Trouble in Paradise to win the match and qualify to take part in the 2010 King of the Ring tournament this Monday night on RAW! With three King of the Ring Qualifying Matches remaining, who else will advance in the King of the Ring tournament? Backstage, Kane is talking with the SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long when Edge appears on a TV in the GM’s office and tells Kane that they are on the other side of the arena near the cotton candy stand, prompting Kane to rush out of the GM’s office in tow to the other side of the arena where Kane barges into the men’s room only to find an empty wheelchair with the message, “Gone Fishing”, written on the bathroom mirror! Will Kane ever be reunited with his father, Paul Bearer? Then it was time for the second King of the Ring Qualifying Match of the night as, for the first time ever, “The World’s Largest Athlete” Big Show would go one-on-one with the self-proclaimed “Essence of Excellence” Alberto Del Rio with the winner qualifying for the 2010 King of the Ring tournament this Monday night on RAW! In the end, it was Big Show throwing Alberto Del Rio back into the ring from the outside and, with Del Rio’s personal ring announcer Ricardo Rodriguez holding the ankles of Big Show and, ultimately, getting knocked out by Big Show, Del Rio would squeak out a count-out victory over “The World’s Largest Athlete” to qualify for the King of the Ring tournament this Monday on RAW! After the match was over, Edge would direct everyone’s attention to his and Paul Bearer’s position behind the fans in the arena as Edge wishes everyone the “happiest of holidays” before saying that the holidays are about “bonding” and “conversing” as he wants Kane to come out so they can have a “conversation”! Kane complies and calls Edge a “monster” and Edge says that Kane does not like it when bad things to happen! Edge then polls the fans to decide whether he should give Paul Bearer back to Kane or should he shove Paul Bearer down the stairs! Kane then states that all of Edge’s actions are to get another shot at the World Heavyweight Title and Kane grants Edge a rematch for the gold and Edge invites Kane to come up there and “join” them, but, as Kane rushes through the crowd towards his father, Edge decides to take Paul Bearer to the “hot dog stand” and, when Kane enters the backstage area, all that there is the empty wheelchair! Then it was time for the third King of the Ring Qualifying Match of the night as “The Ballin’ Superstar” MVP would go one-on-one with “The Chosen One” Drew McIntyre! After softening up the arm of MVP, Drew McIntyre would take advantage and hit the Future Shock DDT en route to picking up the win and qualifying for the 2010 King of the Ring tournament this Monday night on RAW! Five nights after losing the Divas Title to Natalya in a 2-on-1 Handicap Match, Layla & Michelle McCool make an appearance on SmackDown as McCool states that Natalya “stole” the Divas Title from them, but they always have “each other” and they will always be “flawless”! Michelle McCool would then be in action on SmackDown as McCool would go one-on-one with Jacksonville’s own Kelly Kelly! In the end, it was Kelly Kelly rolling Michelle McCool up en route to picking up the win! After the match, Michelle McCool would blast Kelly Kelly from behind as LayCool was set to attack Kelly Kelly, but, much like she did at Survivor Series, Beth Phoenix would make her return to Friday Nights as Phoenix would fight off Layla before laying McCool out with the Glam Slam! How will LayCool respond to Beth Phoenix’s interference in their attacks? Then it was time to determine the final Superstar to qualify for the 2010 King of the Ring tournament as “The Master of the 619” Rey Mysterio would go one-on-one with “Dashing” Cody Rhodes, but before the match begins, Alberto Del Rio comes out to serve as a guest on commentary! During the match, Alberto Del Rio would briefly distract Rey Mysterio, allowing “Dashing” Cody Rhodes to escape the 619 and roll to the outside! Rey would then look to hit a Senton on Rhodes, but Rhodes would duck out of the way and Rey would inadvertently hit the Senton on Del Rio! This would lead to Del Rio interfering in the match, allowing Rhodes to hit Cross Rhodes on Rey en route to picking up the win and qualifying for the King of the Ring tournament this Monday night on RAW! From RAW, Sheamus, Ezekiel Jackson, John Morrison, & United States Champion Daniel Bryan have qualified while SmackDown’s Kofi Kingston, Alberto Del Rio, Drew McIntyre, & “Dashing” Cody Rhodes have also qualified! Now the question remains, which Superstar will be the 2010 King of the Ring? Backstage, Kane barges into the office of SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long and grabs the GM by the throat and demands to know where Edge & Paul Bearer are at, but this is interrupted by Edge, who appears on the TV in the GM’s office with Bearer in the wheelchair as Edge tells Kane that they are out in the parking lot getting some “fresh air”! Edge then states that he thinks he should give Paul Bearer back to Kane before there’s an “accident” and this prompts Kane to rush out to the parking lot just in time to see a car hit Paul Bearer, well, a stuffed dummy made to look like Paul Bearer! Edge then rolls down the windows of the car to reveal Paul Bearer still tied up and in the backseat of the car as Edge tells Kane “whoops” before driving off as Kane throws the fake Paul Bearer head at the car before throwing the wheelchair and bits of Bearer around the parking lot! Will Kane ever get Paul Bearer back? What lengths will Kane be forced to go to in order to retrieve his father?
